Job summary

Vanilla Recruitment is assisting an award-winning business in Oakham to recruit a Customer Service Agent. You will handle calls and enquiries, maintain records and deliver excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

This part-time role (16-24 hours per week) is office-based with free on-site parking. Salary is £26,325 per annum (pro rata) with a company pension and opportunities for development within a growing regulated business.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately within structured processes.
• Good IT skills and experience carrying out administrative tasks efficiently.
• Able to attend initial training for 3-5 days in Winchester (travel and accommodation expenses will be covered).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain productivity in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Handling inbound and outbound customer calls, providing professional and empathetic support.
• Responding to customer enquiries via email and live chat in a timely and accurate manner.
• Completing administrative tasks within agreed service level targets and quality standards.
• Maintaining accurate customer records and documentation in line with company procedures.
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with FCA regulations, Consumer Duty requirements and internal processes.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver positive customer outcomes and identify service improvements.
