Job summary

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver in Sheffield to deliver groceries to customers’ doors with energy, warmth and care. You’ll operate a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform safety checks and ensure deliveries are on time, while also helping in-store when not out on deliveries.

The role is part time (16 hours per week) at £14.73 per hour, with flexi shifts and an availability window. A safe driving record and UK eligibility to work are required.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years old with a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months and no more than 6 points
• Right to work in the UK
• Willing to complete online driving risk assessment and driving assessment during onboarding
• Smart safety practices including adherence to in‑cab safety measures

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep you deliver to with friendly, helpful service
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition
• Perform van checks, keep goods secure and assist with loading/unloading up to 15 kg
• Follow planned routes, adapt to traffic and weather, and communicate delays to customers
• Support store tasks when not on deliveries
