Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the RRIC team at Amersham Hospital. The post is 32 hours per week with flexible working and service cover 8 am–6 pm, including weekends. This role focuses on rapid response, intermediate care and preventing unnecessary hospitalisation.

You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan and deliver care that promotes independence and safe discharge home. HCPC registration required.

Qualifications

• Registered Healthcare Professional with HCPC or RCN registration.
• Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy.
• Recent CPD and postgraduate clinical training.
• Experience across long-term conditions and related care.

Responsibilities

• Providing triage, comprehensive specialist assessment and review of patients using OT skills.
• Plan programmes of care to promote health gain and maximise independence.
• Allocate workloads within the RRIC team and coordinate with MDTs.
• Demonstrate leadership, care planning, and pathway development.

Education

HCPC/RCN registration

Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist degree

CPD experience

Postgraduate clinical training
