Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a Dietitian to join the Community Dietetic Service based at North West Kilmarnock Area Centre. The role involves delivering dietetic care to patients in their homes and local facilities, with a 28.8-hour, four-day week, on a permanent basis.

You will manage your own caseload, receive practice and clinical supervision, and support student placements on A, B and C placements. A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Degree/postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics and HCPC registration are required.
• Experience in community dietetics would be advantageous.
• Excellent time management, organisational skills, self-motivation and leadership qualities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide dietetic care to patients in their own homes, including care homes, GP practices and health centres.
• Manage day-to-day caseload with supervision and support.
• Participate in practice placements and supervision for student practitioners.
