Job summary

Horder Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Coder for a part-time role 22.5 hours per week. The role focuses on delivering accurate clinical coding using ICD10 and OPCS4, in line with NHS Digital standards.

You will work within the clinical coding team to ensure timely and reliable coding across case notes, discharge summaries and related documents. Responsibilities include maintaining HRG accuracy, liaising with clinical staff, and supporting coding audits.

Qualifications

  • Proficient with ICD10 and OPCS4 coding.
  • Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
  • Experience in a clinical setting; can work under pressure.
  • Flexible, presentable and capable of independent work.

Responsibilities

  • Abstract information from notes and translate to ICD10/OPCS4 codes.
  • Assign accurate codes for diagnoses, comorbidities and procedures.
  • Ensure coding practice aligns with national rules and NHS standards.
  • Maintain iPM and update ICD/OPCS tables as issued.
  • Support audits and provide high quality data for reporting.
