Job summary

Compass Group UK&I in defence catering is seeking a part-time Chef to deliver high-quality food across Defence sites. The role is 30 hours per week with shift patterns 5 out of 7, 50.2 weeks per year. You will lead kitchen operations, create menus, and ensure top service.

You'll hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ, have food hygiene certification, and experience supervising a team. Join a trusted market leader delivering excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent required.
• Food hygiene certificate required.
• Experience supervising a team in a kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting with creation of new menus and concepts.
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
