Job summary

Compass Group UK&I ESS is recruiting a Chef to support Defence on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. You will prepare and serve high-quality food, oversee menus, and help drive improvements in our food services while representing Defence across UK sites.

The ideal candidate will have City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent, a Food Hygiene certificate, and experience supervising a team in a similar role, with flexibility to cover 5 days out of 7.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Experience supervising a team in a kitchen.
• Food Hygiene certificate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to improve services.
• Support creation of new menus and food concepts.
• Represent Defence and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories and maintain hygiene standards.
