Job summary

Compass Group UK&I ESS is recruiting an ambitious Chef for Defence on a part-time basis (16 hours per week). You will prepare and serve high-quality food, support menu changes, and help deliver excellent service across our Defence sites.

The ideal candidate holds City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ, has supervising experience, a Food Hygiene certificate, and a flexible approach to working. We offer opportunities to progress within a market-leading food service company.

Qualifications

• Must hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Must have a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience supervising a team in a kitchen.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback and improve services.
• Support creation of new menus and concepts.
• Represent Defence and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
