Job summary

Compass Group PLC is seeking an ambitious Chef to deliver high-quality food experiences for Defence on a full-time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week. You will prepare and serve exceptional meals, oversee menu changes, and lead a team to ensure outstanding customer service across Defence sites in the UK.

The role requires City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent, a Food Hygiene certificate, and a flexible approach.

Qualifications

• Must hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Experience supervising a team in a similar Chef role.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate and have a flexible approach to working.
• Strong focus on high-quality food and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Preparing high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to continuously improve our services.
• Supporting creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
