Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Limited is seeking a passionate chef to join our team as a Bank Chef. This casual, part-time role offers flexible working and the chance to deliver hotel/restaurant standards with no long shifts.

You will assist the Head Chef, work with fresh seasonal produce, tailor menus for residents, and help create a warm, welcoming kitchen that keeps to high nutritional and HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Personable and warm approach with resident wellbeing in mind.
• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
• Experience leading and inspiring a team.
• Good understanding of nutrition and HACCP.
• Experience working with fresh seasonal food.
• Ability to create a welcoming home environment.
• Commitment to kitchen safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in the absence of the Head Chef.
• Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Foster a warm, efficient and fun kitchen environment.
• Work within budget.
• Complete audits and manage stock control.
• Assist in leading and motivating the team.
