Job summary

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) is seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer in Carpentry & Joinery to deliver teaching up to Level 3 for 16–18 learners and apprentices. This is a part-time post (22.2 hours) based in Newcastle-under-Lyme with a pro rata salary of £32,136 to £42,848.

You should hold NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject, have recent industrial experience, and possess a teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) or be willing to train.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject with recent industrial experience.
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification or willingness to train.
• Well organised with the ability to manage variable workloads.
• Able to communicate effectively with students and peers.

Responsibilities

• Teach Carpentry & Joinery across Levels 1–3, focusing on 16–18 students and apprentices.
• Prepare, mark, monitor progress, and develop flexible learning materials; report as required.
