Job summary

Northamptonshire-based College is seeking a Lecturer in Carpentry & Joinery to deliver teaching across Level 1-3 programmes, with hands-on workshop-based learning at a well-equipped campus.

The role includes acting as course tutor for full-time and part-time learners, monitoring progress and contributing to curriculum development to meet industry needs. A permanent, full-time position with excellent facilities is offered, within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in Carpentry & Joinery.
• GCSE English and Maths (C/4 or equivalent) required.
• Teaching or training learners, apprentices or colleagues is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching across Level 1-3 Carpentry & Joinery programmes.
• Act as course tutor for full-time and part-time learners.
• Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement.
• Participate in curriculum development to meet industry needs.
• Lead practical demonstrations and workshop-based learning activities.
• Support learners in developing skills, knowledge and confidence for employment in construction.
