Job summary

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) is seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer in Carpentry & Joinery to deliver high-quality teaching to Level 1–3 students and apprentices. The role requires joinery qualifications and relevant industrial experience, with potential progression towards Level 5 teaching qualifications.

The position is part-time (22.2 hours) located in Newcastle, with responsibilities including preparation, assessment, and development of learning materials.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in carpentry/joinery and relevant industrial experience.
Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) or willingness to train for one.
Well organised with ability to manage peaks and troughs of a varied workload.

Responsibilities

Teach Carpentry & Joinery up to Level 3, focusing on Levels 1–3 for 16–18 learners and apprentices.
Prep, marking, monitoring progress, reporting, and development of flexible learning materials.
