Job summary

Prestige Nursing & Care Northampton is seeking a part-time Care Assistant to provide compassionate, practical support to individuals in an on-site setting in Northampton. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meals, hydration, and daily activities, while observing wellbeing and reporting changes according to care plans.

You will work closely with colleagues, families and other professionals to ensure high-quality, dignified care.

Qualifications

• Strong caregiving skills with experience or interest in personal care and dementia care.
• Safe manual handling skills and mobility support knowledge.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients and families.
• Relevant experience in care, health, or social care settings; a care qualification is an advantage.
• Reliability, empathy, patience and ability to follow care plans and policies, including safeguarding.
• Willingness to undertake training, including mandatory care and manual handling; eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assist with daily living activities.
• Support mobility and manual handling tasks safely.
• Assist with meals, hydration and daily routines.
• Dressing, bathing and toileting support as needed.
• Observe changes in wellbeing and report to care plan leaders.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding policies.
• Offer emotional support and promote dignity and independence.
