Job summary

Prestige Nursing & Care Northampton is seeking a part-time Care Assistant to provide compassionate, practical support to individuals in an on-site setting in Northampton. Qualifications

• Strong caregiving skills with experience or interest in personal care and dementia care.
• Safe manual handling skills and mobility support knowledge.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients and families.
• Relevant experience in care, health, or social care settings; a care qualification is an advantage.
• Reliability, empathy, patience and ability to follow care plans and policies, including safeguarding.
• Willingness to undertake training, including mandatory care and manual handling; eligible to work in the UK.

Role Description

As a Care Assistant at Prestige Nursing & Care Northampton, you will provide compassionate, practical support to individuals in an on-site care setting in Northampton. This part-time role involves assisting with personal care, mobility, and manual handling, supporting with meals and hydration, and helping people with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, and toileting. You will observe and report changes in individuals’ wellbeing, follow care plans, and maintain accurate records. The Care Assistant will also offer emotional support, promote dignity and independence, and work closely with colleagues, families, and other professionals to ensure safe, high-quality care. Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends, may be required.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong caregiving skills, including experience or interest in personal care and Dementia Care.
• Candidates should possess safe Manual Handling skills and an understanding of mobility support and basic health and safety.
