Job summary

The National Autistic Society in Burnham-on-Sea is recruiting a part-time Support Worker to help adults live more independent lives. You will follow individual support plans and daily routines, providing compassionate care and practical assistance.

We value a positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn. Experience with autistic people is welcome but not essential; training is provided to help you grow in the role and support the people we serve.

Qualifications

• Inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people.
• Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential.
• Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts).
