The National Autistic Society is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for Community Services Somerset in the United Kingdom. The role covers personal care, daily activities, and enabling residents to live more independently within their community.

We value caring, reliability and a positive attitude. A driving licence is preferred, and flexible hours including evenings and weekends may apply. DBS checks are required or welcomed.

Qualifications

• Care experience with vulnerable people is valued.
• Ability to support personal care and daily activities.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts).
• Support life skills and independence (budgeting, shopping, meal preparation).
