The National Autistic Society is seeking a caring and reliable Support Worker for Kingsley House in Bideford, Devon. The role supports autistic adults in a 24-hour safe environment by following individual plans and daily routines, with a focus on life skills and independence.

A part-time permanent position at 26 hours per week, with flexibility for evenings and weekends. We welcome applicants who are positive, compassionate and able to engage in activities such as swimming, walking and crafts.

Qualifications

• Inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people.
• Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential.
• Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts).
• Support life skills & independence (budgeting, shopping, meal preparation).
