Job summary

HC-One is seeking an Assistant Chef for a part-time role at one of our care homes. You will hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and apply HACCP knowledge while preparing nutritious meals for residents with a focus on kindness and teamwork.

You’ll support the First Chef, manage stock, follow recipes precisely, and help maintain kitchen cleanliness and efficiency within a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
• Good understanding of HACCP.
• Part-time availability: 18 hours per week.
• Ability to work with residents and colleagues in a kind, respectful manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist the First Chef and take charge in their absence.
• Cook and serve nutritious meals for residents.
• Manage food stock and budget usage.
• Follow recipes accurately and meet deadlines.
• Supervise kitchen clean-up and maintain hygiene standards.
