Job summary

Colchester Institute is seeking an Apprenticeship Industry Development Coach - Operational Firefighter Level 3 to support apprentices in the workplace and ensure successful progression. The role involves liaising with CFRS, monitoring milestones, and guiding learners through the apprenticeship journey across Cambridgeshire.

The position is part-time, 10 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with field-based travel and hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering outstanding customer service with quality assurance.
• Proven ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Active firefighter with Cambridge Fire & Rescue Service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support progress and development of apprentices in the workplace.
• Monitor progress and ensure apprenticeship requirements are met.
• Coordinate with CFRS and college staff to manage the apprenticeship journey.
• Conduct 10-week progress reviews with apprentices and employers.
• Promote safeguarding, prevent, equality & diversity and health & safety during meetings.
