Cognism is a leading provider of European B2B data and sales intelligence, based in London. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for a flexible part-time role to support day-to-day vendor bill processing, credit cards, and expense reports under the Director of Accounting.

This hands-on position emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, VAT compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with treasury and finance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable
• Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting or business
• Proficiency in NetSuite (AP function) strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of VAT rules
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Invoice processing: code and process vendor bills, credit card transactions, and expenses.
• Vendor communication: respond to invoice status queries and escalate unresolved items.
• Vendor data: maintain AP master data, address and bank details.
• Payment support: assist in weekly/monthly payment runs with complete documentation.
• Compliance: follow AP policies and flag potential issues.
• Process awareness: identify recurring issues and propose improvements.
• Cross-functional collaboration with treasury and finance to streamline AP processes.
