Job summary

Confidential in Uttoxeter is seeking an experienced Part-time Accounts Assistant to join a small, friendly finance team supporting Accounts Payable and Credit Control. You will report to the Finance Manager and enjoy flexible hours, with 23 days holiday pro rata plus 8 bank holidays, enhanced pension, healthcare cash plan and private medical insurance, staff discounts, and free onsite parking.

Role involves assisting with supplier invoices, PO matching, supplier statements, and chasing payments,

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within an accounts assistant or similar role is essential.
• Strong IT skills in particular accounting software and MS Excel.
• AAT qualified or studying towards would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the finance department
• Assist with the Accounts Payable function, including processing supplier invoices, matching purchase orders and reconciling supplier statements.
• Support the Credit Control process by monitoring customer accounts, chasing outstanding payments and allocating receipts
• Respond to supplier and customer queries in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
• Support month-end processes and reporting
• Prepare and update spreadsheets and finance reports using Microsoft Excel
• Carry out general administrative duties to support the wider finance team
