Job summary

RG Consultancy are working with a fantastic growing SME in Uttoxeter who are currently recruiting an experienced part-time Accounts Assistant to join their small, friendly finance team to support Accounts Payable and Credit Control. You will work with and report into the Finance Manager on a daily basis.

Role includes flexible hours, 23 days holiday (pro rata) + 8 bank holidays, enhanced pension, healthcare, private medical insurance, staff discount and free onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts assistant or similar role is essential.
• Strong IT skills particularly in accounting software and MS Excel.
• AAT qualification or studying towards would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the finance department
• Assist with the Accounts Payable function, including processing supplier invoices, matching purchase orders and reconciling supplier statements
• Support the Credit Control process by monitoring customer accounts, chasing outstanding payments and allocating receipts
• Respond to supplier and customer queries in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
• Support month-end processes and reporting
• Prepare and update spreadsheets and finance reports using Microsoft Excel
• Carry out general administrative duties to support the wider finance team
