Job summary

Wade Macdonald in the United Kingdom is seeking a Newly Qualified Management Accountant to join a growing healthcare-focused finance team. You will own monthly reporting, balance sheet reviews, cash flow projections and assist with budgeting under the Head of FP&A, engaging with operational stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with at least three years' practical accounting experience.
• Strong Excel capabilities and analytical mindset are essential.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement across the business.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing monthly financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Taking responsibility for balance sheet areas including income deferrals and provisions.
• Analysing revenue streams and ensuring accurate income recognition.
• Preparing operational and financial performance reports and identifying key trends.
• Investigating variances and providing recommendations for commercial decisions.
• Building relationships with operational managers and offering financial guidance.
• Evaluating profitability and expenditure across services to drive efficiency.
• Monitoring employee-related expenditure and liabilities.
• Preparing short-term cash flow projections and managing working capital movements.
• Contributing to budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Supporting capital investments accounting and fixed asset records.
• Coordinating information for external audits and maintaining controls.
• Reviewing processes to improve reporting systems.
• Undertaking additional analysis with Head of FP&A.
