Job summary

Pertemps TM in Oxfordshire is seeking a Part II Architectural Assistant to join their team on healthcare refurbishment and fit-out projects. You will work through conceptual design to technical delivery, producing planning, technical, and construction drawings, and coordinating with consultants and contractors.

The successful candidate will have RIBA Part II, UK practice experience, strong Revit skills, and a solid understanding of UK Building Regulations.

Qualifications

• RIBA Part II qualification and UK practice experience in healthcare projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and technical detailing.
• Proficient in Revit and producing construction drawings.
• Experience with refurbishment and fit-out projects and coordinating with contractors.
• Ability to work independently and manage design development through Stages 4–5.

Part 2 Architectural Assistant, North Oxford, £28k - £38k DOE

An established architectural practice in Oxfordshire is looking for an experienced Part II Architectural Assistant to join their team, working predominantly on healthcare refurbishment and fit-out projects. Projects are often complex and fast paced, working within existing buildings, so they are looking for someone with a strong technical grounding who is comfortable getting involved beyond the early design stages. You’ll have the opportunity to work from concept through to completion, with good exposure to technical delivery, construction and site coordination, while working alongside experienced Architects.

The role will include:

• Working across projects from concept through to completion
• Producing planning, technical and construction drawings
• Developing detailed design packages
• Working on refurbishment and fit-out schemes within existing buildings
• Coordinating information with consultants and contractors
• Attending site and assisting with construction-stage queries
• Liaising with planning authorities where required
• Ensuring information complies with UK Building Regulations
• Producing coordinated models and drawings using Revit
• Supporting projects through RIBA Stages 4–5

The ideal candidate:

• RIBA Part II qualified
• Previous UK practice/project experience
• A genuine interest in healthcare architecture
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations
• Proficient in Revit is mandatory
• Good technical detailing and drawing skills
• Experience of refurbishment and/or fit-out projects
• Exposure to RIBA Stages 4–5
• Some experience coordinating with contractors and working on projects through construction would be beneficial
• Confident, organised and able to work with a good level of independence
