Job summary

Pertemps Tm is seeking an Architect for North Oxford to work on complex healthcare refurbishment and fit-out projects within existing buildings. You will contribute from concept through to completion, with emphasis on technical delivery and site coordination.

Ideal candidates are ARB registered or Part III qualified, with UK project experience, a strong eye for detail, and solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations.

Qualifications

• ARB registered Architect / Part III qualification and UK project experience.
• Strong technical detailing and drawing ability.
• Experience with refurbishment and fit-out projects, ideally healthcare.
• Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and RIBA Stages 4–5.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex refurbishment and fit-out projects within existing buildings.
• Produce detailed technical and construction drawing packages.
• Take projects from concept through to completion.
• Coordinate closely with contractors, consultants and clients.
• Attend site and respond to technical/construction queries.
• Liaise with planning authorities when required.
• Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations and standards.
• Produce and coordinate information using Revit.
• Prepare specifications using NBS Create.

Architect, North Oxford, £35k - £50k DOE

An established architectural practice in Oxfordshire is looking for an Architect to join thier team, working predominantly on complex healthcare refurbishment and fit-out projects within existing buildings.

The role would suit someone who is technically strong, confident taking responsibility for their own workload and comfortable working with minimal supervision. Projects are typically fast paced and require close coordination with contractors and consultants, so strong attention to detail, Building Regulations knowledge and experience during the construction stages will be important.

You’ll be involved from concept through to completion, with particular emphasis on RIBA Stages 4–5, technical delivery and site coordination.

The role will include:

• Working on complex refurbishment and fit-out projects
• Producing detailed technical and construction drawing packages
• Taking projects from concept through to completion
• Coordinating closely with contractors, consultants and clients
• Attending site and responding to technical/construction queries
• Liaising with planning authorities where required
• Ensuring designs comply with UK Building Regulations and relevant standards
• Producing and coordinating information using Revit
• Preparing specifications using NBS Create
• Working independently and managing your own workload with minimal supervision

The ideal candidate:

• ARB registered Architect / Part III qualified
• Previous UK project experience
• A genuine interest in the healthcare sector
• Experience of refurbishment and/or fit-out projects
• Strong technical detailing and drawing ability
• Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations
• Experience across RIBA stages, particularly Stages 4–5
• Comfortable coordinating with contractors on live projects
• Proficient in Revit is mandatory
• Experience using NBS Create
• Confident working independently within a fast-paced project environment
