Job summary

Aztrum is seeking an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our Chorley practice, which specialises in healthcare architecture. You will work on live healthcare schemes, producing detailed drawings and coordinating BIM models in Revit, while developing technical skills within a collaborative team.

The role requires Part 2 qualification, strong Revit proficiency, and a solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed architectural drawings and BIM models using Revit.
• Assist with design and technical delivery of healthcare projects across RIBA stages.
• Prepare planning applications and Building Regulations submissions.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary teams for coordination.
• Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations and healthcare standards.
• Attend design meetings, site visits and project reviews.
• Contribute to BIM coordination and maintain technical accuracy.
• Collaborate with the wider team to deliver projects to a high standard.

Aztrum is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected architectural practice in Chorley that is entering an exciting period of growth.

Specialising in Healthcare Architecture, this award-winning practice has built an excellent reputation for delivering projects across the NHS and private healthcare sectors, including hospitals, mental health facilities, primary care centres and specialist healthcare environments.

Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to welcome an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant who is confident working across live projects and keen to develop their technical skills within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

• Produce detailed architectural drawings and coordinated BIM models using Revit
• Assist with the design and technical delivery of Healthcare projects across various RIBA work stages
• Prepare planning applications, Building Regulations submissions and technical drawing packages
• Liaise with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary teams to support project coordination
• Assist with ensuring designs comply with UK Building Regulations and relevant healthcare standards
• Attend design meetings, site visits and project reviews
• Contribute to BIM coordination and maintain high standards of technical accuracy
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard

Key Requirements for this role:

• Part 2 qualification in Architecture
• Strong proficiency in Revit is essential
• Previous experience working within an architectural practice
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning processes and technical detailing
• Healthcare project experience is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team
• A proactive attitude and genuine interest in developing within Healthcare Architecture
