Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a Parks & Countryside Officer on a 3 months contract with a Local Authority. The role covers maintenance of parks, open spaces and countryside areas to keep public spaces safe, clean and well-presented for residents and visitors.

Key duties include litter removal, grass cutting, hedging and grounds maintenance, with a focus on health and safety. Full UK driving licence required; bi-weekly pay schedule applies. Maldon, Essex region.

Qualifications

• Experience in Street Cleansing or Environmental Services.
• Grass cutting and horticultural maintenance experience.
• Experience operating ride-on mowers or similar machinery.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Full UK Driving Licence (up to 3.5 tonnes).
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Empty litter bins and waste receptacles.
• Carry out litter picking across parks and open spaces.
• Sweep pathways and public access areas.
• Undertake grass cutting and grounds maintenance activities.
• Perform hand-weeding of shrub beds and planted areas.
• Trim hedges and maintain landscaped areas.
• Operate grounds maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Support the upkeep of parks and recreational facilities.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Work independently and as part of a team to maintain high environmental standards.
