Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Parking Officers to direct traffic and enforce parking regulations across our NHS hospital sites. The role involves patrolling car parks, operating a mobile device for enforcement, and assisting visitors and staff with directions and payment processing.

Section duties include maintaining pay stations, posting signage, and reporting incidents. A 37.5 hour week with weekend work is expected, plus deployment to other Hampshire Hospital sites as

Qualifications

• Driver Licence with B category entitlement held for a minimum 1 year.
• IT literate and comfortable using software and apps daily.
• Competent numeracy and literacy with ability to complete a written report.

Responsibilities

• Provide help and support to visitors and staff using car parking facilities.
• Respond to technical problems with car parking machines (e.g., jams, receipt rolls).
• Identify vehicles inappropriately parked and undertake parking enforcement, issuing warnings or charge notices as needed.
• Help maintain car parks, keeping them clean and tidy.
• Place cones and signs to direct traffic or to take spaces out of use.
• Report incidents using the health and safety reporting tool.
• Liaise with the parking administration team and assist other facilities services when required.
