Job summary

Leicester City Council is seeking a full-time Parking & Moving Traffic Officer to support on-street enforcement, review challenges to Penalty Charge Notices and Parking Notices, and help improve traffic reliability in Leicester. This role sits in City Hall and requires strong customer care experience and technical knowledge of notice processing.

Qualifications

• Experience in dealing with the public and handling complaints or enquiries.
• Able to investigate representations and follow up with clear evidence-based explanations.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact and review challenges and representations for Penalty Charge Notices and Parking Notices.
• Follow up and enforce outstanding payments, make decisions on representations and attend adjudication hearings.
• Liaise with the public, senior management, elected members and other agencies on debt collection; attend weekly team meetings and hearings.
