Job summary

Hull City Council, Streetscene, is hiring Civil Enforcement Officers to join a dedicated front-line team. You will enforce parking restrictions by issuing Penalty Charge Notices, manage pay-and-display issues, and handle public inquiries with professionalism.

Training is provided in-house by experienced officers. The role requires handling challenging situations calmly, working in a multi-disciplinary team, and complying with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience within the Parking industry would be an advantage but is not essential as full training is provided.
• DBS disclosure requirements: candidates must declare full details of their record unless protected.
• The role requires a 37-hour week with 5 x 9-hour shifts on a rolling rota and may include evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Investigate offences concerning parking, environmental issues, highways and anti-social behaviour.
• Issue Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles in contravention of Parking Places and Regulations.
• Record information accurately using IT systems and report issues to the Council or partners.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and provide information to the public.
