Job summary

Away Resorts at Sandy Balls, The New Forest, Fordingbridge, is seeking a flexible Security Guest Services Host to keep our holiday makers safe and assist them day and night.

You will patrol on foot and by vehicle, check perimeters, and respond to emergencies. The role includes assisting with check-in, providing welcome packs, and handling out-of-hours requests. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid full UK driving licence.
• Friendly and cheerful approach to guests.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests to the park and assisting with check-in.
• Preparing welcome packs for guests (Guest Services support).
• Patrolling the park on foot and by vehicle and checking perimeters.
• Ensuring vehicles are parked correctly and secure; maintaining guest safety.
• Assisting guests with out-of-hours needs, from power trips to extra linen or gas.
• Covering the Security Phone from 2:00am – 8:30am, with a call-out incentive if required.

This is not a typical park safety role. It’s much better! Based at the beautiful location of Sandy Balls, you will be keeping our holiday makers secure as well as helping them out when they need assistance.

We need you to deliver delight by being the person our holidays makers can rely upon day and night, keeping them safe and being there when they need help.

Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be part of the team that makes sure the park is secure and safe at night and day. You will be a reassuring presence for guests, and you’ll be there in an emergency. It’s a varied and exciting job with responsibilities that include:

What You’ll Be Doing

• Welcoming guests to our park and assisting with check-in.
• Supporting Guest Services by preparing welcome packs.
• Patrolling the park by foot and vehicle – checking perimeters, ensuring vehicles are parked correctly and secure, and making sure guests feel safe.
• Carrying out facilities checks and head counts.
• Assisting guests with out-of-hours needs – from a power trip or extra linen, to delivering gas when required.
• Covering the Security Phone from 2:00am – 8:30am for any emergencies, with a call-out incentive available if required.

The average shift will run from 2:00pm – 2:00am, where you’ll play a key role in keeping the park safe, secure, and welcoming for our guests throughout the evening and night.

And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. As long as you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, experience, and qualities you’ll need.

This is a great role for the right person, and we will provide full training and induction, so lots of experience is not as important as the right attitude. The only ‘must-haves’ are.

• Full Driving Licence
