Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide is seeking a part-time Parcel Handler at our Cleveland Depot in Middlesbrough (TS2 1RA). The role covers unloading/loading parcels, sorting by route, and preparing trailers for drivers, with a focus on friendly, reliable customer service.

Starting salary is £25,201 per year with an increase after 6 months to £27,561; there is potential to reach £30,000 per year with overtime. You’ll receive a strong benefits package and training support.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) with no more than 6 points.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg.
• Friendly, dependable and customer-focused.
• Able to work independently but also as part of a team.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 20 [[zworkinghours and days]], with opportunities for overtime overtime on adhoc basis from 00:00 – 04:30 in warehouse or driving from 08:30 – 14:30. Typical attendance is Monday to Friday 04:30 to 08:30.

Location: Parcelforce Worldwide Cleveland Depot, Middlesborough Cleveland TS2 1RA

Why this role pays off:

• Starting salary: £25,201 per year, £12.71 per hour
• After 6 months: £27,561 per year, £13.94 per hour
• Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)
• Saturday & Sunday Weekend Premium +£4.39 (Saturdays) applied to contracted hours
• Paid weekday and weekend overtime
• Additional Allowances:-
• Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)
• Night Duty Allowance (+£2.74 per hour, applicable on hours worked between 20:00 and 06:00)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Unloading / Loading parcels
• Sorting parcels to correct delivery route / preparing trailer ready for the drivers / onward transport
• Providing a friendly, dependable service — whether it’s a birthday gift or important business mail

What We’re Looking For

• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points
• Someone with good attention to detail
