Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring a Parcel Delivery Driver in Sheffield for a fixed term 6-month contract. The role requires driving a van, delivering parcels, and providing excellent customer service. You will follow a local rota and work weekends, with hours from 08:00 to 16:30 and 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

Job type: Fixed Term contract (6 months)

Hours: 30 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working between 08:00 and 16:30

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

A bit about you

• Upbeat, self-motivated and thrive whilst working independently

• Happy to work in the afternoon and early evenings
• Enjoy a multi drop driving role, delivering parcels across the week in the assigned area
• Possess a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
