Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Parcel Delivery Driver at the Brinklow Delivery Office (MK10 0BS) on a 9-month fixed term contract. The role is 30 hours per week, across Monday to Sunday, 13:30–20:00, with weekend rotas. You will prep your van, use route-planning tools, and deliver parcels with a focus on excellent customer service.

Candidate must hold a full UK manual driving licence (max 6 points). Role pays £13.68 per hour, with 22.5 days holiday pro-rata, uniform provided, pension, and career

Qualifications

• Be upbeat, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Be organised and punctual with initiative.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Comfortable interacting with customers as a Royal Mail ambassador.
• Willing to work afternoons and early evenings.
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence with <=6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels on a multi-drop route across the week.
• Prepare your van and workload for the day.
• Use route-planning tools to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Deliver election materials and other items in line with Royal Mail standards.

Job type: Fixed Term contract 9 months

Hours: 30:00 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working between 13:30 and 20:00

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
