Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Parcel Delivery Driver at the Barnsley Delivery Office. This 6-month fixed term contract runs 30 hours per week, over five days, with shifts between 8am and 8pm, including Saturdays and Sundays per rota.

You will prep your van, use route-planning tools, and deliver parcels while providing great customer service. A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points is required, along with a positive, self-motivated approach.

Hours: 30:00 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working between 8am and 8pm

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full‑time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part‑time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
