Job summary

Royal Mail in Plymouth is seeking a Parcel Delivery Driver on a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will work 30 hours per week, 14:00–20:00, five days out of seven, with occasional Saturday/Sunday work on a local rota.

You will prep your van, follow route-planning tools, and deliver parcels to customers, acting as a friendly ambassador for Royal Mail. A full UK manual license with up to 6 points is required, and you’ll join a team dedicated to reliable, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Able to work independently and on own initiative.
• Commitment to delivering great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels across assigned area on a daily basis.
• Prep the van and workload for the day and use route-planning tools.
• Deliver election materials and other items in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Interact with customers and act as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail.

For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
