Job Description:

We are partnering with a boutique financial planning firm located in central Buckinghamshire. As a growing and dynamic practice, they are seeking an ambitious individual with knowledge of financial planning, currently a paraplanner but aspiring to progress into a Junior Adviser position. The candidate will support two advisors by paraplanning, while learning the business and processes. Over time, you will meet clients, gradually take on advisory responsibilities, and manage parts of the client book to build experience.

This well-established, independent, and directly authorized firm is committed to internal talent development, offering pathways, training, client-facing experience, and mentoring. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about building a long-term career as a Financial Advisor. There is potential for succession planning, as one partner plans to retire in a few years and intends to transfer the business and clients to the adviser team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Onboarding new clients and supporting existing client service
  • Assisting a financial advisor in client meetings
  • Sending out letters of authority
  • Liaising with product providers
  • Collaborating closely with the administrator
  • General administrative duties as needed

The ideal candidate will have a paraplanning or junior adviser background, hold the DipFA or equivalent Level 4 qualification, and be willing to perform dual paraplanning/junior adviser roles until fully integrated into the firm. The candidate should also aim for chartered status and thrive in a supportive, busy team environment.
