Medacs Healthcare is recruiting for a Functional Assessor (Paramedic) to join our PIP assessment team in the UK. The role combines home working with assessment centre attendance, offering a balanced hybrid model and clear progression opportunities.

You will use your clinical judgment to assess how health conditions affect daily activities, with a focus on reports and evidence rather than hands-on treatment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or HCPC‑registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist (current registration with no restrictions)

Responsibilities

• Complete functional assessments for Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• Conduct assessments via telephone or in person when required
• Review medical records and supporting evidence to inform decisions
• Apply clinical reasoning within defined assessment criteria
• Produce clear, accurate and well‑structured reports
• Maintain quality standards and compliance expectations
• Engage with training, audit feedback and professional development
• Attend an assessment centre in line with service requirements
