Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor (registered professional) for remote, permanent work. The role focuses on professional assessment, evidence review and detailed written justification rather than hands-on care.

You will conduct telephone PIP assessments, analyse medical evidence, and produce concise, evidence-based reports within established clinical frameworks. Starting salary is £37,500 with OTE up to £44,275, plus structured progression and remote working.

• Active NMC or HCPC registration without restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year’s UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).

If you’re an NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist considering a move away from hands‑on clinical care, this role offers a structured alternative where your clinical judgement remains central.

Working as a PIP Functional Assessor, you’ll evaluate how a person’s health conditions impact their daily activities. This position focuses on professional assessment, evidence review and written clinical justification rather than treatment delivery.

What we’re looking for

Essential:

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year’s UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Desirable

• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports
