Job summary

Medacs Healthcare in the UK is recruiting a PIP Functional Assessor/Disability Assessor for remote, permanent work. If you’re an NMC-registered Nurse or HCPC-registered Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist, this role focuses on clinical judgement and written reports rather than hands-on treatment.

You’ll conduct telephone assessments, analyse medical evidence, and produce detailed reports framed by clinical standards.

• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed).
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.

Working as a PIP Functional Assessor, you'll evaluate how a person’s health conditions impact their daily activities. This position focuses on professional assessment, evidence review and written clinical justification rather than treatment delivery.

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions

• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Desirable

• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high-quality written clinical reports
