Medacs Healthcare is seeking a Functional Assessor (Registered Paramedic) to conduct remote PIP assessments. You will evaluate how health conditions affect daily activities, producing evidence-based reports and adhering to clinical frameworks.

The role emphasizes assessment and documentation over hands-on care, with structured progression and training. The ideal candidate is NMC/HCPC registered, has UK clinical experience, and is proficient in digital systems.

Formación

• Must hold active NMC or HCPC registration and be able to practise in the UK.
• Minimum 1 year of UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of digital systems with at least 35 WPM typing speed.

Salary: Starting salary £37500 with OTE up to £44,275*

If you’re an NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist considering a move away from hands‑on clinical care, this role offers a structured alternative where your clinical judgement remains central.

Working as a PIP Functional Assessor, you’ll evaluate how a person’s health conditions impact their daily activities. This position focuses on professional assessment, evidence review and written clinical justification rather than treatment delivery.

What we’re looking for

Essential:

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year’s UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Desirable

• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports
