Job summary

ProTech Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Panel Wirer in Berkhamsted on a rolling 3-month contract with the potential to go permanent. The role involves wiring and assembling electrical control panels, crimping and routing cables, and interpreting electrical drawings.

You will work to engineering specifications, test and fault-find as needed, and contribute to high-quality workmanship in a well-established industrial environment.

Panel Wirer

£16-22 per hour OUTSIDE IR35.

3-Month Rolling Contract

We're recruiting for an experienced Panel Wirer to join a well-established industrial engineering and manufacturing company based in Berkhamsted.

Due to continued growth and an increasing project pipeline, they are looking for a skilled Panel Wirer to support the production team on a rolling contract, with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities as a Panel Wirer

• Wiring and assembling electrical control panels to engineering specifications
• Crimping, terminating and routing cables to a high standard
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings
• Mechanical assembly of control panels, enclosures and associated equipment
• Carrying out testing, inspection and fault finding where required
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and ensuring compliance with relevant electrical standards

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Panel Wirer, Electrical Fitter or Control Panel Builder
• Confident reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of electrical components, wiring methods and industrial control systems
• Competent in crimping, cable preparation and panel assembly
• Good mechanical assembly skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
