Job summary

Involve Recruitment is seeking a skilled Panel Wirer for a Birmingham production facility. You will assemble and wire electrical control panels and cabinets, perform point-to-point wiring and cable routing, and conduct crimping, terminating, and soldering.

Reading electrical schematics and GA drawings is essential, with strict adherence to quality and safety standards. Role requires independent work and the ability to deliver to specification; candidates with IPC 3/ IPC 620 or development wiring

Qualifications

• Experience in panel wiring or control panel assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with point-to-point wiring and cable routing.
• Crimping, terminating, and soldering cables and components.
• Ability to work independently and deliver work to specification.

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Panel Wirer on behalf of a well-established manufacturer serving the Defence, Industrial, Aviation, Rail, Medical, Scientific, and Oil & Gas sectors. Based at their Birmingham production facility, you will be responsible for the assembly and wiring of a range of electrical products, from lighting systems through to complex control and distribution panels.

Responsibilities

• Wiring and assembly of electrical control panels and cabinets
• Point-to-point wiring and cable routing
• Crimping, terminating, and soldering cables and components
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and GA drawings
• Mechanical and electrical assembly work
• Working to high quality and safety standards
• Supporting testing and fault-finding activities where required

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in panel wiring or control panel assembly
• Experience with cable termination, crimping, and soldering
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Experience with point-to-point wiring and cable routing
• Ability to work independently and deliver work to specification

Desirable

• IPC Class 3 / IPC 620 experience
• Prototype or development wiring experience
• Basic electrical testing experience

Working Hours

• Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00
• Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
