Job summary

Select Recruitment Specialists Ltd is currently assisting a Norwich-based engineering client to recruit an experienced Panel Wirer. You will assemble and wire electrical control panels from detailed drawings, collaborating with the engineering and test teams to deliver panels to a consistently high standard.

The ideal candidate will have panel wiring or electrical assembly experience, with confidence reading schematics.

Qualifications

• Experience in panel wiring or similar electrical assembly work.
• Confidence reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• A keen eye for detail and pride in your work.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Wiring and assembling control panels from technical drawings.
• Fitting relays, PLCs, protection devices and instrumentation.
• Carrying out quality checks and basic testing before dispatch.
• Liaising with engineers to resolve any technical queries.
• Working safely and to company procedures at all times.

Panel Wirer - Permanent, Full Time

Location: Norwich, Norfolk

Our client, a specialist engineering company, is looking for an experienced Panel Wirer to join their manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, safety-focused business working on various projects, from 11kV through to 400kV.

About the Role

You’ll be assembling and wiring electrical control panels to detailed engineering drawings, working closely with the wider engineering and test team to deliver panels to a consistently high standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Wiring and assembling control panels from technical drawings
• Fitting relays, PLCs, protection devices and instrumentation
• Carrying out quality checks and basic testing before dispatch
• Liaising with engineers to resolve any technical queries
• Working safely and to company procedures at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in panel wiring or similar electrical assembly work
• Confidence reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• A keen eye for detail and pride in your work
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, City & Guilds, ECS, IPAF, PASMA or First Aid all advantageous but not essential
