Job summary
Wigan and Leigh Hospice is seeking a committed registered health or social care professional to lead the Learning Hub Team. You will guide the professional development of staff delivering palliative and end-of-life care across organisational boundaries, providing high-quality education to hospice staff and external health and social care professionals.
You will work with partners across the Wigan Borough to improve practice, with a focus on knowledge, skills and confidence in care delivery.
Qualifications
- Registered health or social care professional
- Experienced educator with passion for palliative and end-of-life care
- Experienced leader and manager who can support, supervise develop and inspire others
- Excellent communicator skilled at working in partnership with others
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver on objectives ensuring a high standard of work by agreed deadlines
Responsibilities
- Lead motivate and inspire the Learning Hub Team
- Provide operational management of the Learning Hub Team and service
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
- Conduct comprehensive internal and external learning needs analysis
- Ensure effective administrative systems are in place
- Lead development, delivery and evaluation of high-quality palliative education
