Job summary
Bolton Hospice is seeking a strong Service Lead to oversee the nursing team across the Inpatient Unit, Well Being Hub and Hospice at Home, ensuring safe, patient-centred care and driving clinical governance improvements.
The role requires a Registered Nurse with senior palliative care experience, leadership training, and advanced communications skills; travel to meetings off-site is expected, and a DBS check is mandatory for appointment.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with senior level experience in palliative care.
- Leadership/management training or qualification.
- Enhanced/Advanced Communications Skills qualification.
Responsibilities
- Lead the nursing team in clinical practice to deliver safe, high-quality patient-centered care.
- Monitor and maintain professional standards through Clinical Governance, developing policies and evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with Head of Clinical Services and Service Leads to enable multi-professional teamwork and service development.
- Lead change across hospice services to meet local population needs; support service delivery across Inpatient Unit, Well Being Hub and Hospice at Home.
- Travel independently to meetings off-site as required and support community service delivery.
