Job summary

Groundforce is the market leading rental provider of excavation support, providing specialist equipment to customers worldwide. Groundforce depot roles involve preparing equipment for hire, painting and maintaining assets, and ensuring safe, accurate depot records in line with company procedures.

You will work under the Depot Foreman/Leadinghand, liaising with management to meet customer requirements and uphold service standards.

Qualifications

  • Ability to complete records and paperwork accurately.
  • Capability to use scanners, PDAs, tablets and computers.
  • A reasonable level of fitness is required.
  • To be flexible, trustworthy and reliable and have excellent time keeping skills.
  • Valid full clean driving licence.
  • Knowledge of shoring commercial operations (beneficial).
  • Spray painting experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Working in the Depot under instructions from the Depot Foreman/Leadinghand to make equipment ready for hire.
  • Liaise with your line manager, to agree and understand our customers’ requirements and ensure that the highest level of service is maintained.
  • Use and maintenance of airless sprayer to complete painting of hire equipment and depot assets in line with level of competency, to company procedures ensuring company policies and processes are followed.
  • Use hand brush/roller paint techniques where applicable to complete painting of hire equipment and depot assets in line with level of competency, to company procedures ensuring company policies and processes are followed.
  • Complete stencilling of hire equipment and depot assets in line with level of competency, to company procedures ensuring company policies and processes are followed.
  • Drive counterbalance or multi-directional forklift trucks to load/unload vehicles, move, prepare and store equipment (full in-house training will be provided).
  • Where deemed necessary, pick/return/scan equipment accurately and identify stock overages/shortages.
  • Where deemed necessary, load and unload equipment correctly and safely.
  • Use pressure washer to clean equipment.
  • Where deemed necessary, inspect, service and repair specified hire equipment and depot assets in line with level of competency, to company procedures ensuring company policies and processes are followed.
  • Use of pneumatic/electrical hand tools (full in-house training will be provided).
  • Keep up to date and accurate service/inspection records at all times.
  • Identify and record damage of out of service equipment.
  • Ensure stock levels accurately maintained and quality of equipment is kept in line with company quality standards.
  • Have a positive attitude towards Health, Safety and the Environment reporting any issues to your supervisor.
  • Maintain the depot to a high standard keeping clean and tidy.
  • Occasionally drive the depot van as deemed necessary.
  • When considered necessary or appropriate by management you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.

What We’re Looking For
