Job summary

Mears in Leeds is seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to carry out high-quality painting and decorating repairs in occupied and void properties. You will support damp and mould remediation programmes and ensure work is completed to a high standard.

This permanent, full-time role requires a City & Guilds in painting & decorating, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to manage workloads independently while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Painting & Decorating.
• Proven experience in Painting & Decorating trades.
• Experience working with damp and mould issues.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake painting and decorating repairs and maintenance works.
• Support damp and mould remediation programmes.
• Replace ceiling tiles and decorative finishes where required.
• Ensure efficient use of materials and products.
• Complete work to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Use a PDA to receive and complete work orders.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment responsibly.
• Deliver excellent customer service when working within residents' homes.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
