Job summary

IMPROVING FUTURES is seeking a Painter Decorator & General Duties Operative to provide high-quality interior and exterior painting services across housing properties. The role includes damp and mould treatment, ensuring safety compliance, and liaising with tenants to explain products used.

You will need a formal apprenticeship (City and Guilds/NVQ Level 2 in painting) and a full UK driving licence. The role offers 37 hours per week, Mon-Thu 8:00–16:00, Fri 8:00–15:30, with 25 days holiday + bank

Qualifications

• Requires recognised apprenticeship or equivalent such as City and Guilds / NVQ Level 2 in painting.
• Experience with damp and mould treatment in decorating.
• Knowledge of health & safety and COSHH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Undertake internal and external decoration to properties and communal areas.
• Attend damp, mould and condensation (DMC) jobs and treat affected areas.
• Assess causes of DMC and report potential solutions and inspections as needed.
• Carry out works to alleviate future DMC, including loft insulation work.
